Jeffrey Joseph Moravek, 54, of Sioux City died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Monday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Condolences may be directed to www.christysmith.com.

Jeffrey was born Oct. 16, 1957, in Sioux City, to Lloyd and Clarice (Bachmann) Moravek.

He was a loving and supportive father who enjoyed nothing more than spending quality time doing everything from T-ball to homework with his twin daughters, Allison and Ashley. He had a wonderful and unique sense of humor; they laughed constantly. He espoused and encouraged compassion, creativity and individuality. We will miss his smile, laugh, sense of humor, sound effects (snort), hugs, kisses, kindness and good nature.

He was a music and animal lover. He was a huge fan of the Chicago Bears, San Francisco Giants and Iowa Hawkeyes.

Jeff was sharing a home and his life with friend and partner, Mary Tope. She is very genuine, loving and warm, and shares Jeff's sense of humor. Their relationship is very important and fostered personal growth, happiness and fulfillment for Jeff. Mary's love is a tremendous, invaluable gift to both Jeff and his daughters. Thank you, Mary.

Survivors include his daughters, Allison Moravek, Ashley Moravek and Andrea Sweeting; brothers and sisters, Dan and Punky Moravek, Lynn Sorgdrager, Patty and John La Voie and Doug and Jill Moravek; and nieces and nephews, Melanie and Jeromy Vedral, Tony and Ashley Moravek, Chad and Mary Jo Sorgdrger, Joe Moravek, Dan and Codi La Voie, Heather Sorgdrager, Amy La Voie, Emilee and Jess Meinen, James Moravek, Rachael Moravek, Genevieve Moravek and Lillian Moravek.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his friend and companion, George.

Memorials will be directed to the family.

Allison, Andrea and Ashley: We will love you forever and for always.
