Marjorie "Marge" (McQuillen) Stamoulis, 86, of Sioux City died Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Sunrise Retirement Community following a brief illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with Chaplain Jon Moravec officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Marge was born on Aug. 7, 1925, in South Sioux City, the daughter of Grant and Hazel (Powell) Holbrook. She grew up on a farm outside of Sioux City.

She was married to Mervin A. McQuillen on Nov. 21, 1942, in Sioux City. He died on Nov. 17, 1986, in Fergus Falls, Minn. Marge married Antona "Tony" Stamoulis on March 13, 1996, in Elk Point, S.D. He died on Dec. 19, 1999, in Sioux City.

Marge worked at Wincharger, Armour and Co. for 28 years until it closed. She then worked at St. Joseph Hospital as a dietician for eight years, then at Floyd Valley Packing Co. for 10 years. Marge and Mervin operated MacHaven Resort in Ashby, Minn. Marge then worked as a nurse's aid at the Pelican Lake Nursing Home in Ashby for 10 years. She moved back to Sioux City and worked at Sunrise Manor and Tri-State Nursing until retiring at the age of 76.

Marge enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include five children, Moeine Blaker and her significant other, Ed Combs of Sergeant Bluff, Malinda Mosser and her husband, Terry of Sioux City, Marlis Lubben and her husband, Alan of Sioux City, Monica Tompkins and her husband, Brian of Sioux City, and Marlon McQuillen and his wife, Patsy of Sioux City; two stepchildren, Carol Boland and her husband, Dick of Sioux City, and Mervin "Sonny" McQuillen and his wife, JoAnn of Sioux City; 36 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a brother, Grant Holbrook Sr.; and three sisters, Blanche Claausen, Violet Hamilton, and Mary Jane Saltsgiver.

Pallbearers will be Tim Bowen, Mike Kinnaman, Brent Merrill, Brenden Tompkins, Curtis Collins, Alex Thompson, Alex Lubben, and Matthew Tompkins.
