Delbert Rouillard, 67, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at his residence.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the American Legion Monahan Post 64, with Deacon Pat Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps. Visitation will be today and continue until service time Friday at the American Legion Monahan Post 64. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Delbert was born March 17, 1944, in Creighton, Neb., to Alexander and Mercy (Crow) Rouillard. After graduation from Central High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. He continued to serve his country in the Marine Corps for 10 years.

He was united in marriage to Mary Denny in 1961 at St. Paul Indian Mission Church. Delbert was a road inspector for the DOT for many years. He also was a steel worker, welder, painter, and a card dealer for Winna-Vegas Casino.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids. He also enjoyed sending money to the less fortunate children through UNICEF.

Delbert is survived by his son, Darwin (Lisa) Rouillard of Santee, Neb.; three daughters, Dana (Jason) Hulit of Walthill, Neb., Miranda Rydstrom of Sioux City, and Andi Iddings of Vermillion, S.D.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Milton (Chris) Rouillard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Darla; a brother, Reginald;a sister, Caroline; and a granddaughter, Heather Rouillard.
