Danita Velin Truitt, 52, of Aliso Viejo, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Feb. 15, 2012, surrounded by the love of her family.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at the community center of Mariners Church, 5001 Newport Coast Drive, Irvine, Calif. Together we will celebrate and honor this most beautiful life.

Danita was born Feb. 18, 1959 in Sioux City, where she was raised and graduated from East High School, class of 1977. She was one of nine children of Ray and Vivian Velin. Her siblings, Bob, Terry, Jack, Danette and Tom live in California, Jim in Alabama, Sue in Ohio, and Richard resides in Colorado.

Danita was a dedicated mother of three, a loving wife to her soul mate, Bob, an endearing friend, a sister, an inspiration, an adventurer, truth seeker, lover of life. Danita will ever be a radiant light in all the lives she touched.
