Peter Broders Dies April 26

Peter Johanes Broders was born on February 25, 1906 to Amelia Volkmann
and Peter Broders at Schleswig, Iowa. As a small child he moved with his parents to Danbury in 1908 and spent the remainder of his life near Danbury. He spent the last 21/2 years in the Willow Dale Nursing Home. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion in Danbury and Carlson- Frum No. 336.

He died on Monday, April 26, 1976 at the Willow Dale Nursing Home having
reached the age of 70 years and 2 months.

Services were held on Wednesday, April 28, 1976 at the Walter Chapel in Mapleton at 1:30 p.m. with Walter Enstrom officiating. Military Rites were at the
graveside by Carlson-Frum Legion Post #336 of Danbury.

Burial was in the Danbury Cemetery, Danbury, Iowa.

Pallbearers were Albert McBride, Walter McBride, Leo Connor, Bernard Mohrhauser, Vincent Diimig and Gilbert Rauterkus.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Ann Steinbach of Danbury; one sister-in-law,
Mrs. Richard Broders of Ida Grove and nieces and nephews He was preceded in
death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
