February 22, 2012SIOUX CITY -- Elaine F. Rubis, 77, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at a local hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff, with the Rev. Charles Wolff officiating. Visitation will be 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.waterburyfuneralserviceinc.com.
Elaine was born on April 17, 1934, in Sioux City, the daughter of Louis and Veronica (Moughan) Beeman. She graduated in 1951 from Pattensburg High School in Pattensburg, Mo.
On Oct. 5, 1952, Elaine was united in marriage to Loran Rubis in Sioux City.
Elaine was a good human being and a good mother. She took care of her mother in the latter years of her life. Elaine was an avid reader, enjoyed her pet dogs, worked crossword puzzles and collected jello molds.
She is survived by her husband, Loren; three children, Lawrence Rubis, Brian Rubis and Susan Hoesing; and four grandchildren, David Rubis, Austin Rubis, Ciera Hoesing and Emily Hoesing.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
