Pat was born Feb. 6, 1931, in Palmer, Neb., the son of William and Patricia (O'Hern) O'Hare. He grew up in the Palmer, Neb., area and graduated from Palmer High School. Pat attended a trade school in Omaha for two years and studied electronics. He then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict.

Pat married Grace Huewe on April 29, 1961, in Omaha. Last year, they happily celebrated their 50th anniversary together with their immediate family. Pat was an electronic technician for the Bureau of Reclamation under the Department of the Interior. He worked for the Western Area Power Administration for over 40 years.

He was a longtime member of St. Michael Catholic Church and was very active in the operations of the church, parish center and school facilities. Pat served as church director for many years, working closely with the parish priests. Over the years, he became extremely knowledgeable of the overall operations of the church and was willing to give of himself on a daily basis for its betterment. He was unofficially known as "Mr. Fix-it" by members of the parish. After retirement, Pat volunteered most of his time to St. Michael's. Being assigned the project coordinator of the building of the parish center, Pat devoted long hours to its successful completion. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.

Pat was also a member of the Third and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. His good nature and pleasant smile were such a blessing to everyone who knew him and even those who just met him in passing. Pat was a loving husband and father who enjoyed traveling with his family and hunting as a young man. He was an avid Nebraska fan and attended football games in Lincoln over the years to cheer on his beloved Huskers.

Survivors include his wife, Grace of Sioux City; a son, Mike O'Hare and Laura Guay of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Tess Jensen and her husband, Scott of Ankeny, Iowa; two sisters, Theresa Sis and her husband, Joe of Lincoln, Neb., and Mary O'Hare of Grand Island, Neb.; and two grandchildren, Mason and Mya Jensen.
