SIOUX CITY -- Mary Helen Fachman, 67, of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be Friday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapter. There will be no visitation. Bruial of her cremains will be in Logan Park Cemetery, Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapelscom. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

Mary was born on Nov. 29, 1944, in Camp Rucker, Alabama to Harold and Mildred (Brewbaker) Sheldon. She graduated from high school in New Jersey and attended art school in New Jersey. She married Eric Fachman on Nov. 7, 1997, in Sioux City.

At a young age, Mary was given the opportunity to travel the world with her family, which gave her the inspiration for art and design. She was accomplished in painting, making jewelry (especially bead work) and leather work. She has painted many paintings for many different people, creating one-of-a-kind originals, including the original mural in Gus's Restaurant.

Mary is survived by her husband, Eric Fachman of Sioux City; two sons, Michael Hageman and Robert Hageman; a special aunt, Elsie Jefferson of Mempthis, Tenn.; cousins and many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
