Mrs. A Mohrhauser
1895-1959

Mrs. Anna Louise Mohrhauser, 64, a resident of the Cherry Lawn nursing home in Morningside for the last five years died Thursday morning at St. Vincent Hospital in Sioux City. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic church. Rev. Richard V. Sweeney officiated and burial was in St. Mary Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Mrs. Mohrhauser’s grandsons; Louie Hinrickson, Jr., Danbury; Darral Mohrhauser of Minneapolis, Minn.; Johnny Rutke, South Sioux City; Arvin, Kenneth and Larry Uhl of Sioux City.

The Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Walter funeral home in Mapleton.

Mrs. Mohrhauser was born January 11, 1895 at Schaller and as a young girl moved to the Danbury Community with her parents where she resided until 1928 when she moved to Mapleton. On January 28, 1913 she was married to John Mohrhauser at Danbury.

Survivors include the widower, now residing at Mapleton; six daughters, Mrs. Harold Smith of Morro Bay, California, Mrs. Leo Uhl and Mrs. Harry Thul, both of Sioux City; Mrs. Louie Hinrickson of Danbury, Mrs. Walter Rutke of South Sioux City and Miss Jeann Mohrhauser of Mapleton; three sons, Joseph of Minneapolis, Jeff of Plant City, Fla., and Carl of Mapleton; four brothers, Joseph Hupke, Frank Hupke and Ben Hupke, all of Mapleton, and Jack Hupke of Norfolk, Nebraska; five sisters, Mrs. John Theabold of Mapleton, Mrs. John Kleime of Danbury, Mrs. Antone Flammang, Mrs. Jerome Uhl and Mrs. Eldon Schweizer all of Ontario, Cal, 21 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
