MRS. MAY DOUGHTY AVERY

Funeral services for Mrs. May Doughty Avery, 70, 2024 Pierce street, who died Thursday night at her residence after a long illness, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Anderson funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland park cemetery.

Mrs. Avery was born June 24, 1886, in Holland, Minn. She resided here since 1910.

Her husband Byron, died June 2, 1951, in Sioux City.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Nettie Mae Montagne of Chicago and Mrs. Gertrude Rue of Omaha, Neb.; four sons, Noel, Milton and Charles of Sioux City and B. Leonard of Minneapolis; one brother, Robert Doughty of Crosby, N. D.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Avery was a member of the Mayflower Congregational church, the Women of the Moose and the Rebekah lodges.

She was a past chief of the Pythian Sisters and a past councilor of the auxiliary of the United Commercial Travelers
