Lawton, Iowa—Bertha A Zellmer, 90, of rural Lawton, died Thursday, December 26, 1996 at a local nursing home, following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville, Iowa. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery in Moville. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville.

Mrs. Zellmer was born April 2, 1906, in rural Kingsley, Iowa to Jacob and Elizabeth (Gruenberg) Porsch. She attended Plymouth County rural schools. She married Otto Zellmer on August 22, 1923 at Salem Lutheran Church in rural Correctionville. They moved north of Lawton in 1924, where they farmed for 48 years. He died June 25, 1972, in Sioux City. She lived her last few years in the nursing home.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville, where she was confirmed on June 17, 1923.

Survivors include four sons, Harold and his wife, Beatrice of South Sioux City, Ervin and his wife, Lucille of Kingsley, Alvin and his wife, Barbara and Raymond, all of Lawton; one daughter, Mrs. Arlene Bergendahl of Lawton; three brothers, Harry and his wife, Loretta Porsch of Westfield, Iowa, Albert Porsch of Hinton, Iowa and John Porsch of Kingsley; one sister Selma Muecke of Hinton; 18 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Donald; one brother, Theodore Porsch and two grandsons.

Pallbearers include Robert Bergendahl, James, Douglas, Clay, David and Clark Zellmer.
