Anthon, Iowa—Bertha A. Peters, 87, of Anthon died Sunday, November 6, 1988 in a nursing home in Correctionville.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the United Methodist Church in Anthon with the Rev. Joe-d DowlingSoka officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. in the Walter Funeral Home in Anthon.
Mrs. Peters, the former Bertha Clausen, was born March 1, 1901, in rural Anthon. She married George Peters April 28, 1928, at Ida Grove. The couple farmed in the Anthon community and she had worked at the Gothier Mink Ranch for 20 years.
Mr. Peters died Feb. 6, 1966.
Mrs. Peters was a member of the United Methodist Church and McNiff Unit 389, American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Arthur “Jack” of Anthon; a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Anna Mae) Lancaster of Anthon; two grandchildren, Margie Lancaster and Mrs. Curtis (Martha) Kaufman, and a great-grandson Derek Kaufman.
