Funeral Services Held For Willard C Eckert

Willard C. Eckert, 84, of Oracle, Arizona, formerly of Oto, died Tuesday, May 27, 1986 in Chandler, Arizona.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 1986 in the United Methodist Church in Rock Branch. The Rev. Ronald Unser officiated. Burial was in Bethel-Piero Cemetery under the direction of the Walter Funeral Home in Anthon.

Mr. Eckert was born June 12, 1901 in Oto and lived in the Oto-Anthon communities. He married Murrel Malcom February 3, 1923, in Cherokee. They moved to Mapleton in 1958 where he worked for Haubrich Construction Co. In 1962 they moved to Oracle.

Mr. Eckert was a member of the Lions Club in Oracle.

Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Mrs. Charles (Genevieve) Barcelow of Moville, Mrs. Lynne (Yvonne) Behrens of Sioux City, Mrs. Jack (Willa Lou) McGarry of Torrence, California, Mrs. John (Ramona) Heath of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Jack (Glenna Lee) Walsh of Anthon, and Mrs. Calvin (Christol) Hedtke of Chandler, 27 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
