Lawton, Iowa—Harold A. Munsen, 86, of Lawton died Saturday, February 22, 1997, at a Sioux City nursing home following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colinial Chapel, with Dr. Robert E. Peters, pastor of Community Presbyterian Church, Lawton, officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery at Lawton. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. the funeral home.

Mr. Munsen was born November 4, 1910, in Oto, Iowa, the son of Arthur and Mary (Frost) Munsen. He married Edna C. Hayworth on May 17, 1933, in Elk Point, S.D.

He was an independent trucker, owning and operating his own business from 1953 to 1979.

He was a member of the Teamster Union in Sioux City, and the Odd Fellows Lodge in Anthon, Iowa.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Harlan and Dorothy of Mankato, Minn., and Gary and Mary of Lawton; a daughter, Jan Munsen of Sioux City; two brothers and their wives, Wayne and Emma and Leonard and Eva all of Correctionville, Iowa; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Randel, James and Wayne Jr., Munsen, Peter Wachtel and Brett Riebesell.
