She was the daughter of Louis and Adelia Ahlf. She was born in South Sioux City on Oct. 22, 1928.

Phyllis loved to cook, travel, and enjoyed nurturing the very unique relationships she shared with each of her family members. Phyllis spent the majority of her life parenting, grandparenting and homemaking. She loved good food and receiving gifts of clothing from various travel destinations. She dedicated time and energy toward numerous volunteer projects including Girl Scouts, church and elder care.

Her greatest joys were derived from nurturing babies and toddlers whether her own, the neighbors', or extended family. Phyllis' smile and gentle demeanor touched countless people in and around the Siouxland community. She will be fondly remembered as a kind and humble parent, grandparent and friend.

We look forward to seeing her, where she now dwells in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
