SIOUX CITY -- Kathleen L. Snyder, 48, of Glendale, Ariz., formerly of Sioux City, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 11, 2011, in Sioux City while visiting her family.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. today at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Kathleen was born Feb. 26, 1963, in Sioux City, to Russell and Bertha (Boston) Snyder. She grew up in Sioux City and attended Sioux City Schools. She graduated from West High School in 1981 and then attended Morningside College.

She married Daniel Couch on Nov. 5, 1988, in Glendale. Kathleen had worked several years for Whole Foods Market in Scottsdale, Ariz.

She was a Girl Scout leader when her daughters were young. Kathleen enjoyed hiking and rock climbing.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel Couch of Glendale; two daughters, Meagan Bunnell and her husband, Anthony; Meagan is living in Phoenix, Ariz., while Anthony is serving in Iraq, and Hannah Couch of Glendale; her parents, Russell and Bertha Snyder of Sioux City; six brothers and sisters, Diane Clemens and her husband, Richard of Omaha, Neb., Linda Talbott and her husband, Douglas of Elk Point, S.D., Russell Snyder and his wife, Jeri of Sioux City, Patrick Snyder and his wife, Eileen of Ft. Smith, Ark., Earl Snyder and his wife, Catherine of Sioux City, and Barry Snyder and his wife, Jane of Le Mars, Iowa; a grandson, Kaden; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Snyder and her grandparents.
