PIERSON, Iowa -- Keith Willson, 64, of Pierson passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011, at his residence in Pierson.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 5 to 7 p.m., with the services to begin at 7 p.m., all at the Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley.

Keith was born Nov. 27, 1946, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Dale G. and Evelyn (Champlin) Willson. He grew up and attended school in the Sioux City area. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972, during which time he was part of an Honor Guard Unit.

He married Sherry Caskey on August 18, 2000.

Keith enjoyed anything connected with the Minnesota Vikings, golf, pool and woodworking. He enjoyed old Western movies and was a history buff. He played Fast Pitch softball for several years in Sioux City, where he played for Jungle Lounge and Water World.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry of Pierson; one daughter, Lisa; three sons, Shannon (Kris), Terrence (Courtney) and Brandon; three stepsons, Davy, Jason and Todd; and one stepdaughter, Trina (Chad). He is also survived by a brother, Dale "Butch" Willson; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Keith's family.
