Lawton, Iowa—David Allan Pedersen, 45, of Orting, Wash., formerly of Lawton and Sioux City, died July 11, 1996 at his home in Orting following a lengthy illness of diabetes.

Services were held at the Assembly of God Church in Orting under the direction of the Powers Funeral Home of Orting.

Mr. Pedersen was born August 2, 1950, in Sioux City, the son of the late Elmer C. Pedersen and Luella (Larson) Preble. He attended Lawton-Bronson Community School until July 1966, when he moved with his family to Orting and graduated from high school there. He married Bonnie Elliott on November 6, 1971. The couple made their home in Orting. He worked for Puget Sound Marketing Inc. and West Coast Grocery, until his early retirement due to poor health.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; a son, Kristin, and two daughters, Karissa and Melissa, all at home, his mother, Luella (Larson) Preble of Orting; a sister, Mrs. Randy (Lou Ann) Martin of Puyallup, Wash., two brothers, Donald Coon of California and Todd Larson and his wife Carolyn of Idaho; his in-laws, Dave and Dixie Elliott, Debbie Elliott and Betty Gehring and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Deanna Lynn.
