SIOUX CITY -- Beverly J. Streeter, 83, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011, in Gillette, Wyo., at the Hospice House.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Beverly was born Jan. 28, 1928, in Dakota City, Neb., the daughter of Freeman and Lucille (Olson) Bruneau.

She married Harold C. Streeter on Feb. 22, 1955, in Seattle, Wash. Beverly (Bev, Bevvy) loved living life to its fullest. After many years of travel with her husband, Harold, in the Navy, Bev was able to settle in her hometown of Sioux City. In her early years, Bev worked for Western Union in Sioux City and retired from United Wholesalers of Sioux City.

Her biggest love, besides her daughter, Vicki, was to travel to Las Vegas, Nev. When she became unable to make the long trip to Vegas, she enjoyed traveling to surrounding casinos with her husband, Harold. She was a very caring, generous, high-spirited lady, mom and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicki Peterson and husband, Bill Peterson; grandchildren, Josh Peterson and Whitney Peterson; great-grandchildren, Dayton Peterson and Royce Peterson; sisters, Naomi Mounts of Texas, Louise Wenham and Peggy Parvu of Sioux City; and brothers-in-law, Robert Anderson and Bud Mounts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold C. Streeter; parents, Freeman and Lucille (Olson) Bruneau; sisters, Shirley Anderson and Jean Krause; and one brother, Freemie Boy Bruneau.
