SIOUX CITY -- Roger Wayne Schrag, 71, of Sioux City died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Glendale Community Baptist Church. A potluck luncheon will be at noon Sunday at the church. Burial was in Salem Mennonite Brethren Church Cemetery in rural Bridgewater, S.D.

Roger was a longtime dedicated taxi driver in Sioux City for the past 21 years. He began his taxi career with Siouxland Taxi in 1990. He joined the Action Taxi family in 2004, where he spent his remaining years. He was one of the best taxi drivers in Siouxland. He knew the city streets like he knew the back of his hand. He was loved by many people. Roger was known for bringing in newspaper clippings of any taxi stories that were written in other cities, such as Des Moines and Omaha. He could tell all kinds of stories about being in the cab business.

Roger had a sweet tooth and blessed his coworkers with cookies and goodies on a regular basis.

Survivors include his friends at Action Taxi and Limo in Sioux City.
