SIOUX CITY -- Myron E. Bose, 76, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, at his residence.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Schmidt of Concordia Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Myron was born June 9, 1934, in Martinsburg, Neb., the son of Alfred and Leona (Mattis) Bose. He married Ruth Jean Schincke on Feb. 12, 1954, in Martinsburg. Myron was employed in the maintenance department at Cargill for many years, retiring at the age of 62.

In his free time, Myron loved to farm and give his grandchildren rides on his tractor. He enjoyed teaching his boys to work with tools and was known for being able to fix anything.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Bose of Sioux City; two sons, Tom Bose of Omaha, and Ken Bose of Sioux City; two brothers, Harold and Virginia Bose of Sioux City, and Robert and Pat Bose of Hemmi, Calif.; two sisters, Betty Ann and Virgil Roberts and Carroll Kay, all of Sioux City; six grandchildren, Brandy Bergmann and Noelle Lamoureax, both of Omaha, Marissa, Zahan, Quinton and Myron Bose, all of Sioux City; and two great-grandchildren, Madeline Bergmann and Carter Lamoureax, both of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Violet Stolley; and a granddaughter, Crystal Joy Bose.
