Danbury, Iowa—Lola L. Hindman, 71, of Growrie, Iowa, formerly of Danbury.

Services were held Saturday, Dec. 20, 1997, at United Methodist Church in Growrie, the Rev. Gary Bird officiated. Burial was in Liston Township Cemetery at Danbury.

Mrs. Hindman was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Danbury, the daughter of Robert and Bernetta (Bubb) Diment. She graduated from high school in Sergeant Bluff and from the St. Vincent College of Medicine in Sioux City with a registered nursing degree in 1947. She moved to Dayton, Iowa in 1960.

She was a member of Growrie United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Connie Johnson of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Susanne Hindman of Harcourt, Iowa and Jean Hindman of Decatur, Ala; three sons, Patrick and Kelly both of Fort Dodge and Richard of Dayton; seven grandchildren, a great-grandchild; a brother, Merle Diment of Des Moines; and three sisters, Aleva Earnest of Paulina, Iowa, Goldie Hink of Des Moines and Joyce Miller of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Thomas; a sister, Margie, and four brothers, Benjamin, Troy, Robert and Russel.

Lola Hindman was my mother. She was born in rural Danbury in 1926 and graduated from St. Vincent's as a U.S. Army Cadet Nurse in 1947.
She resided in Dayton, Iowa, not Gowrie, Iowa. She died in Fort Dodge, Iowa on, Wednesday, December 17, 1997 and was buried at Liston Twp Cemetery near Danbury on, Saturday, December 20, 1997.
