SIOUX CITY -- Camilla A. "Cam" Murphy, 85, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with the Rev. Merlin Schrad officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Camilla was born Feb. 27, 1925, at Sioux City, the daughter of Dennis and Hannah (Cain) Murphy. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1943. Cam worked for the United States government and for several law offices as a legal secretary. Other than working in Dallas, Texas, for three years, she spent her life here in Sioux City. Cam worked for MidAmerican Energy Company from 1973 until 1991, when she retired.

Camilla was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and the church confraternity. She was also a member of the Catholic Women's League, National Secretaries Association, Mercy Medical Center Auxiliary and the Carmel Guild.

Survivors include a niece, Ann Wilcox Angelo and husband, Joseph Angelo Sr.; a nephew, R. Lee and wife, Kinney Pender of Traverse, Mich.; great nephews, Joseph Angelo Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M., and Nicholas Angelo of Russia; and a great niece, Renae Pender of Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, LeRoy Murphy; and a sister, Clysta Murphy Wilcox.
