SIOUX CITY -- Sandra "Sandy" Sue Seibold, 63, of Sioux City went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, from her residence surrounded by family and friends.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sylvia Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present at 5 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Sandy was born June 23, 1947, in Pocahontas, Iowa, to Lloyd and Marie (Krause) Burns. She received her education at Woodbury Central, graduating with the class of 1965.

She married David A. Seibold Sr. in Dakota City on Nov. 25, 1967, by Judge Gary Irish. Sandy enjoyed being a homemaker, raising her five children before joining the Sioux City Community School District, from which she retired after working for 28 years. She worked at Sam's Club after her retirement.

Sandy was proud of her membership in the SCESPA (Sioux City Education Support Professional Association, NEA), along with her memberships to Sioux City Eagles Auxiliary 77, the VFW Post 1973 Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Society (or the sassy girls in Red). Sandy was very current and extremely active in the Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church, being most recently a lay leader within the church.

Sandy is survived by her husband, David A. Seibold Sr. of Sioux City; children, Denise (Kevin) Bottjen of Sioux City, David Jr. (Teresa) Seibold of Blue Springs, Mo., Anna (Dan) Pauling of Sioux City, Stuart (Tracy) Seibold of Sioux City, and Steven (Lori) Seibold of Hinton, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Terry Flatgard of Willmar, Minn.; numerous nieces and nephews; along with her dear friend, Marcia Murray.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and three brothers.
