27 February 2011SIOUX CITY --Robert "Bob" Marshall, 77, of Thousand Oaks, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, after a well spirited fight against Alzheimer's Disease.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at the Thunderbird Oaks Clubhouse, 2501 Thunderbird Drive, Thousand Oaks, Calif., 91362. A reception will follow the service.
Bob was born March 18, 1933, in Sioux City, the seventh of nine children. Bob eventually moved west and settled in Simi Valley, Calif., in 1974 with his wife, Sharon.
Bob worked for more than 20 years at U.S. Rentals in Canoga Park and he enjoyed a rich life of gardening, shooting pool and travel. Bob and Sharon retired to Thousand Oaks eight years ago.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; children Mike (Karen), Wendy (Rob Burns), Pam (Chris Wilson), Stacey (Mike Beaumont) and Joe (Dena), as well as seven grandchildren; remaining brother Harold and sister Doris; many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Senior Concerns, 401 Hodencamp Road, Thousand Oaks, Calif., 91360.
