SIOUX CITY -- Harold R. Williams, 78, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Kenny Hsu officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Harold was born March 3, 1932, in Canton, S.D., to Horace and Elsie (Masters) Williams. He served his country during the Korean conflict with the U.S. Army.

He was married to JoAnn M. Anderson on March 14, 1970, in Newcastle, Neb. He retired from Sioux City Foundry in 1994. He continued to work at Domino's Pizza as a driver for four years.

Harold enjoyed working hard, and spoiling his nephews and niece. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Williams of Sioux City; three nephews, Steve (Debra) Forney of Jacksonville, N.C., David (Mary) Forney of Wynonna, Minn., and Larry (Leslie) Williams of Sioux City; a special niece, Nancy (LaVerle) Johnson of Laurel, Neb.; 12 grandnieces and grandnephews; and two brothers-in-law, Bob "Kemo" Anderson of Ponca, Neb., and Wes (Charlene) Anderson of Caldwell, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harry and Oliver Williams; and a sister, Marjorie Forney.
