SIOUX CITY -- Ann P. "Annie" Rosenbaum, 95, of Sioux City died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at Countryside Senior Living following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 11 a.m. today at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, with the Rev. George Pappas officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Annie was born June 29, 1915, in Sioux City, the daughter of Makar T. and Phyllis (Anifer) Davidchik. She attended Lincoln and Franklin Elementary Schools, Woodrow Wilson Junior High and graduated from Central High School in 1933.

She married Elwood Rosenbaum on Feb. 4, 1950, in Sioux City. He died May 4, 1973, in South Dakota. She worked at Sioux City Seed Co. and later at Swift and Co. from 1936 and retired in 1980.

She belonged to Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Mary Magdalene, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Miroaphoros, CIO-Local 71 Swift labor union. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and helping with church activities.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Lyn and Sharon Rosenbaum of Avon, Ind.; Patricia Kitchens of Sioux City; grandchildren, Richard Rosenbaum of Paragon, Ind., Shane Rosenbaum of Indianapolis, Ind., Gena Rosenbaum of Atlanta, Ga., and Kristi Renner of Dallas, Texas; great-grandchildren, Heather, Katelyn, Ryan and Maya; a niece, Patricia Childress of Winston-Salem, N.C.; nephews, Darrel "Butch" Davidchik of Carrollton, Texas, and Michael Davidchik of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandnephews, Joe Davidchik of San Francisco, Calif., and Mike Davidchik of Camas, Wash.; many cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren; and long time friend, Genevieve Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, John Davidchik, and her twin, Capt. Joe Davidchik (Sioux City police officer killed in the line of duty) and his wife, Dolores; and sisters, Zena Davidchik and Eugenie (Jimmie) Imboden.

Pallbearers will be Richard and Shane Rosenbaum, Roger Schultz, Andrew Peterson, Gerry Stevens and John Vlahoulis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Icon Project at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church or Hospice of Siouxland.
