4 January 2011SIOUX CITY -- Wayne Roy Boston formerly of Sioux City entered eternal life on Dec. 31, 2010.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today in Los Gatos Memorial Park, 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Road, San Jose, Calif. Arrangements are by Darling, Fischer, Campbell Memorial Chapel in Campbell, Calif.
Wayne entered life on Nov. 4, 1922, in Sioux City. Wayne graduated from Central High School in 1941. He then entered the U.S. Army serving in World War II as a ball turret gunner on a bomber with 50 missions over Germany.
He married the love of his life Donna Hammer in 1942 and they were blessed with 27 years together. He worked for several plumbing companies in Sioux City. He began his own plumbing company, which he operated until he and his wife Donna moved to California. He finished his career with Natkin Plumbing Company in California.
He was a loving father to Cheryl Christensen and son-in-law Dan. He was the adoring grandparent of Wendie Christensen Kunz (Scott) and Culley Christensen (Natalie); three great-grandchildren, Nicole, Sara, and Cheyenne. He was the proud brother to Sally Pederson of Anaheim, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; his parents, Mattie and Roy; brothers, James and Allen.
