Correctionville, Iowa—Wanda S. Short, 64, 207 Driftwood St., Correctionville, died Friday, Dec. 29, 1995, at the Colonial Manor Care Center in Correctionville.

There are no services planned, other than a private family interment service at Fairfield Cemetery in Rock Branch, Iowa. Christy Smith & Hockenberry Morningside Funeral Home of Sioux City is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Short was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Correctionville, the daughter of Ansel and Susie (Durham) Short. She graduated from Correctionville High School, and then from Morningside College and Westmar College with a teaching degree. She lived most of her life in and around Correctionville. She taught elementary school, mostly in the Galva, Iowa, school system.

Miss Short was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Correctionville.
Survivors include a sister, Alice Shever of Correctionville; a brother, Robert of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William and a sister, Betty Gehrts.
