Moville, Iowa—Lyle R. Crawford, 94, of Moville died Thursday, Oct 5, 1995, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Moville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Orrin T Potter officiating. Burial will be in the Fairfield Cemetery in Rock Branch, Iowa. Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. today at the McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville.

Mr. Crawford was born June 14, 1901 in Woodbury County the son of Wesley and Elsie (Wilson) Crawford. He was a graduate of Moville schools and attended National Business Training. He married Leona Thiesen Jan 2, 1926. She died March 14, 1990, in Moville. Mr. Crawford lived his entire life in Moville, and spent his life farming in the Moville area.

Survivors include five daughters, Vera and her husband Walter Sterrett of Marcus, Iowa, Doris and her husband Eldon Mortenson of Remsen, Iowa, Shirley Kurasz of Lawton, Iowa and Kathryn Smith and Phyllis and her husband Kenneth Anderson, all of Moville; two sons and their wives, Gerald and Mary of Ponca, Nebr. and Kendall and Shirley of Moville; 28 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, Wilbur Rippke.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Bethene and Audrey; a son, Dale; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
