30 July 2002MOVILLE, Iowa -- Hazel L. Lyons, 88, of Moville died Saturday, July 27, 2002.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church in Moville, with the Rev. Harold E. Werley officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville.
Mrs. Lyons was born July 11, 1914, in Alfordsville, Ind., the daughter of Graham and Clara Baker. She attended school in Jasper, Ind. She moved with her family to Kingsley, Iowa, where they farmed for many years.
She married Clifford M. Lyons on Sept. 10, 1931, in Dakota City. She worked for Tomlinson TV Service in Moville for 19 years.
She was a member of Moville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Merrilyn and Howard Creekmur of Omaha; a son and his wife, Eugene and LaRae Lyons of Moville; two brothers and their wives, Vachel and Marcella Baker of Garden Grove, Calif., and Malcolm and Jean Baker of Alfordsville, Ind.; a grandson; four granddaughters; four great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Valman and Dallas Baker.
Pallbearers will be Keith Baker, Robert and Alvin Lyons, Paul Waldman, Vern Knudsen and Vern Weeks.
