SIOUX CITY -- Vern A. Sorenson, formerly of Sioux City, passed away peacefully Aug. 15, 2010, in Tucson, Ariz,. with family at his side.

Memorial services will be at a later date in Sioux City. Arrangements by Bring's Broadway Chapel in Tucson.

Vern was born March 12, 1921, in Coleridge, Neb., to Alfred and Helen (Lewon) Sorenson.

Vern was full of life and at times a little bullheaded, but also very caring and sensitive. He was laughing and joking until the day he passed. He was loved very much and will be missed tremendously.

He was the loving husband of Darlene Sorenson for 49 years. Vern was a caring father to Judy, Karen, Bruce, Dianne, Tom, Bill and Vivian. He is also survived by many grandchildren whom he adored. We love you!
