ANTHON, Iowa -- Judith A. "Judy" Jensen, 70, of Anthon died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Anthon, with the Rev. Ben Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Judith Ann "Judy" Jensen was born Feb. 28, 1940, at Correctionville, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Hazel (Zerfing) Hansen. The family moved to their farm east of Anthon, where Judy grew up and graduated from Anthon High School with the class of 1958.

On Nov. 26, 1961, she was united in marriage to Conrad H. "Connie" Jensen at the United Methodist Church in Anthon. The couple made their home and raised their daughter on their farm six miles southeast of Anthon. During this time, Judy also worked as a bookkeeper for several local businesses and later provided that same service at Terra in Anthon for 20-plus years.

She was a member of the Anthon United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, and handwork including detailed embroidery work. She was a very family-oriented person as a wife, mother, and especially as a grandmother to her two grandsons.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Connie; her daughter, Janet Trimpe and her husband, Jim of Anthon; her grandsons, Dave Trimpe and Brynn Parr of Brookings, S.D., and Tyler Trimpe of Anthon; a sister and her husband, Norma Jean and John Paulsen of Climbing Hill, Iowa; along numerous good friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
