SIOUX CITY -- Michael "Mick" D. Anderson, 37, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at his residence.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mick was born on June 9, 1973, in Sterling, Ill., to Richard A. and Sharolyn "Sherry" (Tackett) Anderson. He received his education in the Sioux City Public School System. Mick worked as a mechanic in the construction and tree service industry. He married Michelle LaCroix in September of this year.

His passions were working on cars, collecting anything that was related to Mickey Mouse, and spending time with his cat Trixie. Mick was well liked by everyone that knew him, and will be missed dearly by friends and family.

Mick is survived by his mother, Sherry Anderson; wife, Michelle Anderson; daughter, Kristy Williams; stepchildren, Jimmy LaCroix, Whitney LaCroix and Alex Andrea LaCroix; brothers, Steven Anderson and Terry Anderson, both of Sioux City, and Richard A. Anderson Jr. and his wife, Lorraine of Salix, Iowa; and nieces and nephews.

Mick was preceded in death by his father.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the family.
