SIOUX CITY -- Sarah Herzoff, 90, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, at Sunrise Retirement Community.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Sunday in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Sarah was born in 1920, to Max and Macha Polaykoff. She attended Central High School and the National Business School.

In 1940, she married Bernie Herzoff. They owned and operated Herzoff Music Company, a music and vending business in Sioux City and Arnold's Park at Lake Okoboji.

Sarah was a talented pianist and was a skilled portrait artist in her youth. She was an involved and caring parent and a full working partner in the family business.

Survivors include her brother, Abe Polaykoff; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Priscilla Herzoff; a daughter, Karen Herzoff; and two grandchildren, Colin and Evan Herzoff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Herzoff; and a brother, Ben Polaykoff.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Sunrise Retirement Community or the Alzheimer's Association.
