11 November 2010SIOUX CITY -- Mark T. Torgerson, 52, of Loveland, Colo., formerly of Sioux City, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, in Fremont County, Iowa, from injuries suffered in a automobile accident.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland.
Born in Sioux City on Oct. 3, 1958, to Allen T. "Whitey" and Sally J. (Esse) Torgerson. Mark grew up in Sioux City and attended Sioux City Public Schools, before moving to Loveland in 1982.
He married Laurie Hurst on Sept. 4, 2004, in Loveland. Mark owned and operated Style Craft Builders in Loveland, a family owned siding and window company originally established in 1910 in Sioux City as The Torgerson Company.
Mark was deeply devoted to his faith and to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie; daughters, Jessica and Jenesia; five grandchildren, all of Loveland; his mother, Sally J. (Esse) Torgerson of Weaverville, N.C.; and brothers, Martin Torgerson and his wife, Teresa and Tom Torgerson and his wife, Annette, all of Sioux City and Jim Torgerson and his wife, Suzanne of Bluffton, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Torris "Whitey" Torgerson; an infant brother, Matthew; and his grandparents.
