SIOUX CITY -- Pearl "Tudy" Evans, 83, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hillhouse Cemetery in Stoutland, Mo. The family will greet friends 10 a.m. to service time at the cemetery in Stoutland. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel in Sioux City. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Pearl was born on Aug. 25, 1927, in Sholes, Neb., to Joseph and Pearl (Balster) Mattingley. She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City.

Pearl was married to John Schubert Evans on Sept. 5, 1959, in Ensenada, Mexico. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1995, in Sioux City. Pearl worked as a secretary in Los Angeles County, Calif. After moving away in 1950, Pearl moved back to Sioux City in 1984.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, keeping up on current events and watching the Minnesota Twins.

She is survived by her son, Lindy (Melinda) Evans of Fair Grove, Mo.; her daughter, Lana Saunders and Lonnie Black of Sioux City; a brother, Lyle Mattingley of Oregon; sisters, Cora Yarmie of Burbank, Calif., and Myrtle Karnes of Sioux City; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and six siblings.
