SIOUX CITY -- Margaret "Peggy" Uhl, 84, of Des Moines, formerly of Sioux City, passed away peacefully Nov. 4, 2010, at Bickford Cottage.

Services will be 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Nazareth Catholic Church in Des Moines. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Monday in Calvary Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service, at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines.

Peggy was born Aug. 2, 1926, in Sioux City. She and her husband, Francis, moved to Des Moines in 1969. She worked for the American Lung Association, House to House Campaign for 25 years, until she retired.

Peggy loved to laugh, bowl, play Bunko, have her hair done, watch Law and Order and spend time with her family.

Peggy is survived by her children, James (Cathy) Uhl, Nancy Uhl, Tom (Mary) Uhl; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Barney, Kristi Peddycoart, Brian Uhl, Amy Uhl, Morgan Uhl, Cody Sloan, Jacob Uhl; five great-grandchildren, Madison Ghee, Nolan and Jack Barney, Brianna Uhl and Angela Barth; her brother, George McFadden; and sister, Audrey (Tom) Rehm.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edith McFadden; her husband, Francis; and her brothers, James and William McFadden.
