SIOUX CITY -- Paulina F. Adams, 79, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at a local hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Whitfield United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sylvia Kennedy officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Paulina was born Jan. 13, 1931, in Randolph, Neb., to Herbert and Edree (Wilson) Jacobson. Paulina's family moved to Allen, Neb., where she received her education.

She married Russell W. Adams on Sept. 3, 1946, in Sioux City. Paulina was a wonderful homemaker, raising eight children and retiring just earlier this year as a 25 year sales representative of Avon products.

She was a member of Whitfield United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. She enjoyed crocheting and collected wolf statues and Avon dolls.

Paulina is survived by her children, Shirley Thompson of Norfolk, Neb., Judy Adams of Sioux City, Russell Adams Jr. of Sioux City, Cindy Brewer and her husband, Jim of Morrilton, Ark., Debra Willis and her husband, Alvin of Houston, Texas, Richard Adams of Sioux City, Pamela Olson and her husband, Ed Sr. of Jefferson, Iowa, and Tina Adams of Sioux City; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Hill and her husband, Neal of Globe, Ariz., Mary Jacobson of Allen, Neb., and Gracie Jacobson of Omaha.

Paulina was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Sr. in May 2000; daughter-in-law, Loretta Adams also in the year 2000; sister, Mable Noe; and sister-in-law, Audrey Adams.

Memorials can be made to the Whitfield United Methodist Church.
