SIOUX CITY -- Eileen M. Frisch, 94, of Sioux City died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Touchstone Living Center with her family by her side.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gary Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Eileen was born July 6, 1916, in Merrill, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Kate (Trauner) Beaulieu.

She married Lester Frisch on Dec. 27, 1945, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellendale, Iowa. Lester died Nov. 9, 1977, in Sioux City. Eileen worked for Younker's Department Store for more than 20 years.

She was a longtime member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She worked many of the fish dinners held at St. Michael's. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Lanphier and her husband, Charlie of Sioux City; a son, Tom Frisch and his wife, Cathy of Sioux City; 12 grandchildren, Tracy Kennedy, Chuck Lanphier, Suzie Grafton, Katie Block, Julie Ungaro, Tim Lanphier, Tom Lanphier, Emily Lanphier, Lindsay Lanphier, Christie Lanphier, Shane Frisch, and Kelly Frisch; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester; five sisters; and four brothers.

Pallbearers will be Chuck, Tim and Tom Lanphier, Shane and Kelly Frisch and Tayler Firsch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to St. Michael Catholic Church.
