SIOUX CITY -- Earl Clifford Dailey, 79, of Sioux City passed away Friday, June 11, 2010, at a local hospital.

Private graveside services will be held Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Kenny Hsu officiating. There will be no visitation. Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff is in charge of arrangements.

Earl was born Oct. 9, 1930, in Sioux City, the son of Fred and Wilma Dailey. He attended Sioux City schools. He was confirmed and baptized in the Lutheran faith.

Earl was proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He joined the Marines at the age of 17, and served as a tech sergeant during his tour of duty. Following his discharge from the Marines, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he served an additional four years.

Earl lived in California for many years and returned to Sioux City 15 years ago. While in California he worked several different jobs. Upon returning to Sioux City, he worked at Nutro-Flo.

Survivors include his sister, Lois of Sioux City; three nieces and nephews; and five grandnieces and nephews.

He will be missed. We Love You Earl.
