6 June 2010SIOUX CITY -- Nellie Marshall, 81, formerly of Sioux City, died of lung cancer Thursday, May 27, 2010, in Spring Lake, Mich.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be determined at a later date.
Nellie was born Aug. 20, 1928, in Ponca, Neb., the daughter of John and Fannie (Hall) Weis. She married Glenn Marshall on Oct. 23, 1948, in South Sioux City. He died on Dec. 3, 1988, in Sioux City.
Survivors include six sons, Ray (Jolene) Marshall of Grand Haven, Mich., Gary Marshall, Jim Marshall, Bob Marshall and Rick Marshall, all of Sioux City, and John Marshall of Grand Haven; three daughters, Sandra Ranson of Lottie, La., Patricia (Don) Whitlock of Sioux City, and Connie (Doug) Mitchell of Grand Haven; a brother, Bill Weis of Shasta Lake City, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; her son, Leonard; her granddaughter, Amy; and her grandson, Jesse.
