3 June 2010SIOUX CITY -- Charlotte J. Hubby, 70, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010, at a local hospital.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at The Salvation Army, 1415 Villa Ave. Burial will be at later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff.
Charlotte was born Aug. 17, 1939, in Elmer, Mo., the daughter of William and Marguarite (Grinnelle) Conley. Charlotte was raised in Iowa.
On March 11, 1960, Charlotte was united in marriage to Lewis E. Witt in Leon, Iowa. To this union three children were born. Charlotte moved to the Sioux City area in the early 1990s. She worked for Bishop's, the MCI cafeteria, and later at the Radio Grill in Wal-Mart.
She collected angels and enjoyed playing Yahtzee and other games. She especially enjoyed watching John Wayne westerns.
Charlotte is survived by her two daughters, Brenda and her husband, Donald Lindsay of Spirit Lake, Iowa, and Laurna Witt and her significant other, Sherry Beacom of Sioux City; one son, Donald Witt of Des Moines; several half brothers and sisters; six grandchildren, Marquella Witt, Amber Owens, Adam Owens, Alisha Owens, Emily Witt and David Witt; and two great-grandchildren, Jerra and Preston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Al "Skip" Bruhns of Spirit Lake.
