SIOUX CITY -- Kelly Fleischman, 48, of Sioux City passed away suddenly Sunday, June 20, 2010, while at work.

Visitation with the family will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave. Private family service will be held following the visitation.

Kelly was born May 26, 1962, in Davenport, Iowa, to John L. and Patricia A. (Smith) Fleischman. He graduated from West High School in Davenport before entering the work force.

He began his career with Seasonal Concepts (formerly known as Flower City) in Davenport. He worked within that corporation in Oklahoma and Kansas City, Mo. He worked for Hobby Lobby before taking over the management position for Michael's Arts and Crafts at Lakeport Commons in Sioux City, a position he had held for the past seven years.

He was raised in the Catholic faith. He enjoyed gardening and motorcycles, but found his greatest passion in following the NASCAR circuit.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Fleischman of Sioux City; his father, John (Joanne) Fleischman of Davenport; his mother, Patricia (Charles) VanDeSampel of Milan, Ill.; sisters, Shelly Fleischman of Milan, Jody Fleischman of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Judy Fleischman (friend, Terry Gibbs) of Davenport; and numerous nieces and nephews.
