Anthon, Iowa—Ida Anna Maria Dora Kollbaum, 88, of Anthon died Sunday, December 22, 1996 at the Correctionville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Correctionville, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Anthon, with the Rev. Michael Harman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. today, with prayer service4 at 3 p.m. at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Mrs. Kollbaum was born August 20, 1908 in Seguine, Texas, the daughter of August and Ernestine Hesse. She moved with her family to the4 Ute and Schleswig, Iowa, area as a child.

She married Henry Kollbaum on September 19, 1926, in Denison, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Ida Grove, Iowa community until 1943, when they moved to Woodbury County and farmed in the Anthon area. He died May 20, 1981. She entered the nursing home in 1995.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing.

Survivors include six daughters, Ruth Bowers, Malone of Lyons, Nebraska, Darlene and her husband, Ronnie Zimmerman of Amazonia, Mo., Delores and her husband, Ralph Diamond, of Anthon, Leona and her husband, Norman Schmidt of Danbury, Iowa, Roberta and her husband, Larry Houlsworth of Anthon and LaJune and her husband, Tom Gray of Sioux City; two sons and their wives, Henry and Lyla of Moville, Iowa, and Gene and Linda of Bronson, Iowa; a sister, Louise Krueger of Wall Lake, Iowa; 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, three sisters; two great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
