SIOUX CITY -- Paul M. Hiserote, 62, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at a local hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Loving Faith Fellowship Church, with the Rev. Patrick L. Burgess, PhD, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 4 to 8 p.m., at Waterbury Funeral Service.

Paul was born on Feb. 29, 1948, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of Millard and Beatrice (DeValt) Hiserote. He attended schools in Council Bluffs, Sioux City and South Sioux City.

Paul was united in marriage to Pauline Stough on Aug. 20, 1976, in Elk Point, S.D. They made their home in Sioux City. Paul loved to fish. In the biblical sense, he was a true fisherman. Paul was a volunteer for many years at Casa de Paz until just recently, due to his health. Paul was awarded the Soul Winners Award during 2006 for his work in ministry.

Paul was an active member of the Loving Faith Fellowship Church, and during the past 23 years shared his guitar musical talents during the worship services.

Paul is survived by his wife Pauline; two sons, Richard Hiserote and his wife, Teresa of Sioux City, and Jonathan Hiserote and his wife, Dee of Red Scaffold, S.D. ; two daughters, Michelle and her husband, Michael Jackson of Sioux City, and Penny Phelps of Springfield, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Charles Hiserote and his wife, Karen of Sergeant Bluff, and Tom Rich and his wife, Judy of Whiting, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Walter, David and Tim; and five sisters, Lilly, Luella, May Rose, Mildred and Maxine.

Memorials may be made in Paul's name to the Loving Faith Fellowship Outreach Ministries.
