SIOUX CITY -- Aaron Stowe, 36, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010, at his residence.

Services for Aaron will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Glendale Baptist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson-Berger Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to meyerbroschapels.com.

Aaron was born on April 16, 1974, in Sioux City to David and Sherry (Sturges) Stowe. He graduated from North High School and attended one semester at Wayne State College.

Aaron was a gentle soul with a kind heart. He enjoyed being with friends, watching sports and sharing his religious beliefs with others. He was an avid fan of Hawkeye football, the Cubs and the Vikings. He was fortunate to be able to see all of his favorite teams play on their home fields.

While in Minneapolis for brain surgery in 1991, Aaron was visited by four members of the Iowa Hawkeyes team. It was the Final Four playoffs, and the Hawkeye team had heard there was a fan in the hospital. They had come to check on him and wish him well. Aaron cherished that experience all of his life.

He was a member of Glendale Baptist Church and the Friendship House.

He is survived by his mother, Sherry Stowe of Castana, Iowa; sister, Casi Stowe of Sioux City; nephew, Eliot Stowe of Sioux City; two nieces, Eden Stowe of Sioux City, and Ella of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Stowe; paternal grandparents, Vernon and Marie Stowe; and maternal grandparents, Jim and Phyllis Sturges.
