4 May 2010SIOUX CITY -- Julie A. Edwards, 52, of Sioux City passed away Monday, May 3, 2010, at her residence.
No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to meyerbroschapels.
Julie was born Jan. 25, 1958, in Phoenix, Ariz., the daughter of Robert L. and Lola P. (Grimm) Rice. She was primarily raised by her mother, Lola, and her stepfather, Maynard Kohl. She received her schooling in Thomson, Ill., graduating from high school in 1976.
Julie married Jim Edwards on March 2, 1986, in San Bernardino, Calif. The couple made their home in California before moving to Sioux City in 1991. She was a homemaker. She stayed home to raise her son, Brandon.
Julie had a love for animals. She was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings and NHRA drag racing. She was a member of the Siouxland Humane Society and the ASPCA.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Edwards of Sioux City; and a son, Brandon Edwards of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Linda.
