HORNICK, Iowa -- Robin Lynn Morris, 42, of Hornick passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital from muscular dystrophy.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holly Springs Bible Fellowship in rural Holly Springs, Iowa, with the Rev. Jim Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Westfork Township Cemetery, Climbing Hill, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present 6:30 to 8 p.m., at Holly Springs Bible Fellowship. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service of Onawa, Iowa.

Robin was born Nov. 21, 1960, in Onawa, the son of Robert and Lois (Sorenson) Morris. He was raised and educated in the Hornick area and graduated from Westwood High School in 1979.

He was a semi-truck driver for several years and farmed until his health failed. He and Janice were married on Aug. 20, 1987.

He was affiliated with Holly Springs Bible Fellowship. He loved animals and enjoyed boating and snowmobiling.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Lois Morris of Hornick; three sisters and their husbands, Janet and Gary Ronfeldt of Schaller, Iowa, Marcia and Dan Ronfeldt of Smithland, Iowa, and Vickie and Lee Westergaard of Sloan, Iowa; a brother and his wife, Rick and Patti Morris of Hornick; and 10 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe Sorenson, Bill and Jessie Carr and Robert and Gladys Morris; an aunt, Beverly Hodgins; and a niece, Mindy Ronfeldt.

The family prefers memorials to be directed to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.
