CLIMBING HILL, Iowa -- Glady D. Baird, 69, of Climbing Hill died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at her residence.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Christy-Smith McCulloch Chapel in Moville, Iowa, with the Rev. Galen Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Westfork Township Cemetery, Climbing Hill. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Baird was born July 18, 1932, in Sioux City, the daughter of William and Minnie (Walberg) Frisbie. She was raised in Sioux City and graduated from East High School. She was employed with Fishgalls.

She married Duane Baird on Sept. 10, 1955, in Sioux City. They lived on a farm near Climbing Hill their entire married life.

She was a former member of Climbing Hill Garden Club and the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed collecting angels, pets, flowers and writing her pen pals.

Survivors include her husband, Duane of Moville; a daughter and her husband, Angela and Roger Price of Turin, Iowa; a son and his wife, Michael and Linda Baird of Moville; a brother and his wife, Lloyd and Mary Frances Fox of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a brother-in-law, Ken Baird of Climbing Hill; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Fox of Sioux City and Betty Fox of Claremont, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, Lisa, Katie, Annie and Amanda Docken, Matthew, Laura, Audrey, Courtney, Brooke and Anthony Baird; a great-grandchild, Brianna Martinez; and nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
